PhycoClub is a global network of early-career phycologists and algae enthusiasts who connect researchers, students, industry professionals and policymakers to share knowledge and foster collaboration.
Their monthly online seminar series, PhycoFridays, takes place on the last Friday of each month at 10:30 AM (UK time). These informal “coffee break” talks (15–25 minutes) feature speakers from academia and industry, followed by open discussion.
PhycoClub is hosting our very own Dr. Priya Pollard of Indigo Rock Marine Research Centre as part of their April PhycoFridays Online Seminar.
Her talk, titled “From Sea to Peat: Integrating Seaweed Ensiling and Freshwater Algae in Circular Bioeconomy Systems”, will present the potential of microalgal biomass conversion as an alternative approach to seaweed preservation.
