Published: May 6, 2026

We were pleased to present our Circular-IMTA-DEMO project at the 9th International Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change in Berlin. The conference brought together researchers, innovators, and policymakers from around the world to share cutting-edge work addressing some of the most pressing environmental challenges.

Our very own Prof. Neil Rowan's presentation highlighted the project’s innovative approach to integrating circular bioeconomy principles with Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA), demonstrating how sustainable resource use and ecosystem-based solutions can contribute to climate resilience and environmental sustainability. We shared key progress, early findings and the potential impact of our work in advancing scalable, circular production systems.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the international research community, exchange ideas and explore new collaborations. We were encouraged by the strong interest in the Circular-IMTA-DEMO project and the valuable discussions that followed.

We look forward to building on the momentum from Berlin and continuing our work towards sustainable, circular solutions for the bioeconomy
