JT Fest EMRA

We were delighted to attend and exhibit at the Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly (EMRA) Just Transition Fest at Mount Druid, Castletown Geoghegan, Co. Westmeath. This flagship event, hosted by EMRA, celebrated the transformative impact of the EU Just Transition Fund across the Midlands. The festival brought together over 170 funded projects, community groups, SMEs and key stakeholders to showcase innovation in peatland restoration, bioeconomy development, circular economy initiatives, skills training and sustainable tourism.

At our stand, we highlighted the Circular-IMTA-Demo Project, a pioneering peatland-based bioeconomy demonstration hub integrating Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) with circular biorefinery systems. This initiative demonstrates how biodiversity restoration, resource efficiency and innovative bio-based value chains can transform our peatlands into thriving hubs for sustainable production. By linking ecological integrity with economic opportunity, we contributed to the conversation on shaping a greener, more resilient future for the region.
